State of the Union on Immigration - The State of Black Immigration

This forum will bring together Black immigrant-serving organizations to elevate community voices and engage directly with Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Member staff on the impacts of federal immigration policies.

125 national, state, and local organizations have already joined together to call on CBC leadership to defend Black immigrant communities. This gathering provides a timely and strategic platform to further amplify that call, ensuring congressional offices hear directly from the communities and organizations most affected.

The purpose of this briefing is to bring Congressional Black Caucus Member staff and other policymakers into direct dialogue with community leaders and impacted families, ensuring that Black immigrant experiences are centered in federal immigration oversight and reform.

This briefing will convene immigrant-serving organizations, civil rights groups, impacted families, and community members to help shape immigration policy affecting Black immigrants.
